- 4 cups cooked and diced chicken
- 3 cups chopped celery
- 2 cups cooked white rice
- 1 cup mayonnaise
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup slivered almonds
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1/4 cup bread crumbs
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
- In a large bowl, mix together the chicken, celery, rice, mayonnaise, cheddar cheese, onion, sour cream, slivered almonds, lemon juice, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and cayenne pepper until well combined.
- Spoon the mixture into a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- In a separate bowl, mix together the bread crumbs and melted butter until evenly coated.
- Sprinkle the bread crumb mixture over the top of the chicken mixture.
- Bake the casserole for 25 to 30 minutes, or until the top is golden-brown and crispy.
